Needless to say, when we were looking for an associate company to collaborate on ecommerce technologies, we put over 2 dozen through a very fine comb. First off, we had to settle on an ecommerce engine to use. We brushed aside all “open source” solutions for obvious reasons, and decided to choose between Volusion and Magento. Both of these are strong contenders but Magento seemed to have a higher amount of various extensions serving almost every purpose from custom shopping carts to one-page checkout
After 2 weeks of research we finally made our choice.
